15th December 2025 marks a proud milestone with the Soft Opening of Red Sea Container Terminals (RSCT) at Sokhna Port, as we officially commence operations with our first vessel, CMA CGM Helium.
In just 18 months, RSCT has been developed into a world-class container terminal through close collaboration with the Ministry of Transport and the Suez Canal Economic Zone. Phase 1 project has 1,200 meters of quay, 720,000 sqm of yard, and advanced, remotely operated cranes ready for production. Sustainability is a core pillar of RSCT, with electric cargo-handling equipment and trucks supporting our commitment to lower emissions and greener operations. Backed by the combined expertise of Hutchison Ports, CMA CGM, and COSCO Shipping, RSCT aims to set a new standard for reliability, efficiency, and innovation at Sokhna Port.
This soft opening marks the beginning of a long-term commitment to supporting Sokhna Port, Egypt’s logistics ecosystem, and global trade.
